ESCHER
back to list

The ESCHER CARPET is named after Maurits Cornelis Escher, a Dutch graphic artist who made mathematically-inspired woodcuts, lithographs and mezzotints.

Inspired by his work, LAITA have designed the ESCHER CARPET using vivid colors which tessellate obscurely depending on the viewers angle. LAITA’s ESCHER CARPET not only comes in singular pieces but can also be combined together, like puzzle pieces, to cover larger areas of space. This piece explores ideas of infinity, as well as perspective.

A bold statement item, the ESCHER CARPET can be placed in a living room, bedroom or reception room – anywhere you decide to provoke conversation about our higher purpose.
